Meg Montford coaches executives and professionals in planning and managing their careers. She partners with them in developing career strategies for attaining lifelong career success. She challenges her clients to adopt career-marketing attitudes while accepting responsibility for their own job security. Using a pragmatic approach, she supports her clients as they clarify career values, evaluate career interests and skills, and develop goal-based action plans for achieving results. Some have called Meg a "secret weapon" in their job search campaigns. She is known for her success in facilitating her clients’ radical career changes.


Meg is credentialed as a Master Certified Career Coach™ and Career Management Fellow. She has also earned the Certified Professional Resume Writer credential. She holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and is a graduate of both Career Coach Institute and ICF's Corporate Coach University. From Career Coach Institute, she became the first graduate to earn Master certification. Coaching ahead of the curve, Meg has helped people conquer career-related challenges as a recruiter, employment consultant, business developer, and coach. She launched her boutique career services business in 1999.


Contributing to 19 nationally published books, Meg has also personally authored many career-related print and online articles. She collaborated with 19 coaches to publish the book, Power Tools: Top Executive Coaches Put You on the Fast Track to Success (2006). Her content-rich blog, Career Chaos, has attracted readers since 2005. She has been quoted as an expert careers source by national and local media, including The Wall Street Journal, Sales & Marketing Management Magazine, Diversity Inc., Yahoo! Hot Jobs, Kansas City Star, CBS Money Watch, and ExecuNet publications. She is interviewed and featured as a careers expert on local television programs as Kansas City’s WDAF-TV FOX morning news. chose her to coach the executive winner of their 2001 sweepstakes. She embraces social media with daily activity on Twitter and over 1900 contacts on LinkedIn, plus posting on her blog, Career Chaos.


Promoting networking and community involvement as key to professional success, Meg served as an Officer of the Board for the Association of Career Professionals International following her role as President-elect of the ACP International-USA Board and five years of leadership roles at local chapter and USA Board levels. Her additional memberships include: International Coach Federation (ICF), Institute of Career Certification International, Career Thought Leaders Consortium, and National Career Development Association.


In her spare time, Meg enjoys RV camping with her husband, cooking, reading, and walking her small dog, Theodore, a Chinese Crested Hairy Hairless. She is an avid supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs football team, even when they aren’t winning. She is the proud mother of two adult sons who are healthy, happy, and self-sufficient. Meg leads her life and manages her career services business according to her personal and professional mantra, “Believe in yourself and everything is possible!”
